My name is Evert-Jan ten Dam and I work as a plastic surgeon at Flexclinics.

Major areas of focus within aesthetic plastic surgery for me are breast surgery, abdominoplasty, liposuction and facial surgery.

Since 2010, after graduation, I have been working in various areas of plastic surgery. I studied medicine at the University of Groningen, and shortly after, I lived in Los Angeles for a year to do research at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). After this, I completed a combined PhD and specialization program at the UMC Groningen. During this period, I attended pre-training in surgery at the Martini Hospital, followed by specialization as a plastic surgeon at the UMCG and the Medisch Centrum Leeuwarden. I completed the training with European certification: Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery(EBOPRAS).

In 2020, I received my PhD from the University of Groningen. My dissertation is titled "Biological Pathways in the Development of Dupuytren's and Peyronie's Diseases."

As a plastic surgeon, I gained experience in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at LUMC and Alrijne Hospital in Leiden. After that I worked for two years at Boerhaave Medisch Centrum in Amsterdam. In addition to my work at FlexClinics, I can also be found at VandenBroecke Clinic.

I am a member of the Dutch Associations for Plastic and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery(NVPC and NVEPC).

Many people find it quite exciting to undergo cosmetic surgery. I am aware of this: it is therefore pleasant to make a personal plan, where the patient feels at ease during the treatment and receives honest advice. Discussing together where the possibilities lie, with the goal of the most beautiful and natural result possible, and a satisfied patient. That's the rewarding part of my profession, that's what I do it for.
