My name is Jantine Posthuma de Boer

 I am affiliated with Flexclinics as a hand, wrist and elbow surgeon.

After studying medicine at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, I moved to Amsterdam to complete a doctoral research on the treatment of osteosarcoma at the VU medical center (now Amsterdam UMC) and then completed my training as an orthopedic surgeon. After this, I spent 2 years working at UZ Leuven as a hand, wrist and elbow fellow in order to further expand my knowledge and skills in this field. In 2022 I successfully passed the European examination. I thus joined the European Board of Hand Surgery and may call myself a European recognized hand specialist.

Hand, wrist and elbow pain can have a very large effect on daily functioning and greatly affect the quality of life. As a physician, I always find it a challenge to listen carefully to my patient's request for help and to search for the most appropriate treatment for each person and in each situation.
