My name is Franziska Lichtenegger,
Born in Graz, Austria, I inherited the fascination for medicine from my father, a gynecologist. Early on, I became captivated by his expertise, precision and, above all, his warm commitment to his patients. These values form the basis of my own career as a plastic surgeon, with more than 25 years of specialization in aesthetic breast and facial surgery.
My path began with studies in Law and Medicine at the University of Graz. During my doctorate, I broadened my horizons with fellowships in New York, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Mount Sinai Medical Center. This was followed by an in-depth specialization in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of breast and face.
My international experience included positions at Klinikum Seefeld (Munich), the burn center of the University of Aachen, an aesthetic surgery clinic in Rio de Janeiro and the Caritas Hospital in Regensburg. In 2006, the German Society of Plastic Surgeons awarded me a fellowship in New York.
I have been working in the Netherlands since 2009, where I was part of the Bergman Clinics team from 2011 to 2023. In 2023, I realized my dream with the opening of my own private clinic focused on aesthetic breast and facial surgery.
My passion for these fields resulted in extensive research and development, with over 20 years of expertise. In recent years, my focus has been on the removal of controversial silicone implants and volume restoration through lipofilling.
Constantly staying abreast of the latest developments is crucial. Therefore, I faithfully attend congresses and continuing education courses at home and abroad. Memberships in various professional associations, including the NVPC, NVEPC, German and International Societies for Plastic Surgery, and the Austrian Society for Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, underscore my dedication to my field.
